Ideas are better
when they travel.

I work across international affairs, policy, communications and relationships — usually somewhere between a complicated issue and the people who need to make sense of it.

Undine Andersone
Riga · international affairs

I like complicated subjects, good questions and making both a little easier to understand.

My work has taken me through diplomacy, international cooperation, policy and strategic communication. I enjoy the parts that sit between countries, institutions and people: understanding different interests, finding common ground and turning a lot of information into something useful.

I am particularly interested in the Baltic and Nordic region, transatlantic relations, international partnerships and the practical side of building relationships across borders.

I also think most meetings could safely be 20 minutes shorter. I remain open to evidence to the contrary.

Approach

Curious, structured, human

I like knowing the details without losing sight of the bigger picture — and I prefer a useful answer to a very impressive-sounding one.

Things I am thinking about.

This is where I plan to collect occasional notes on international affairs, policy, Latvia and the world around us. No grand publishing schedule. Just things worth thinking about.

Coming soon

The first note is currently being overthought.

Let's talk.

For professional enquiries, international projects, speaking opportunities or just a good idea that deserves a conversation.
